Do you or someone you know need an independent advocate?
There are independent advocacy organisations across Scotland helping people to have their voices heard in decisions which affect their lives. Independent advocates work in a variety of settings including the community, education, care homes, prisons and hospital settings.
To find your nearest independent advocacy organisation please select your local council area or search by topic. Find an Advocate will provide you with information about which local council area’s each organisation can provide a service within and which groups of people they provide services to, as well as their contact information. Please be aware some organisations will have a waiting list and may have to prioritise statutory work. Other independent advocacy organisations will be able to provide in-person or telephone support sooner.
SIAA do not directly deliver independent advocacy services, we are the intermediary for independent advocacy organisations across Scotland.
