Advocacy Service Aberdeen (ASA) provide individual issue-based independent advocacy to adults aged 16+ and reside in Aberdeen City who:

  • experience mental illness
  • have a learning disability
  • are autistic
  • use drugs and/or alcohol
  • unpaid carers
  • are open to Adult Support and Protection (ASP) proceedings
  • experience domestic abuse
  • qualify for Self Directed Support (SDS).

They provide individual issue-based independent advocacy to children and young people who are autistic. They also support children and young people going through children’s hearings.

They provide non-instructed advocacy to adults.

ASA provide collective advocacy to people based at the Royal Cornhill Hospital, and those living in a care setting.

They specialise supporting people in domestic abuse cases and experiencing mental illness.
