Do you or someone you know need an independent advocate?
There are independent advocacy organisations across Scotland helping people to have their voices heard in decisions which affect their lives. Independent advocates work in a variety of settings including the community, education, care homes, prisons and hospital settings.
To find your nearest independent advocacy organisation please select your local council area or search by topic. Find an Advocate has information about where organisatoins and groups can provide a service and to which groups, as well as their contact information. Please be aware some organisations will have a waiting list and may have to prioritise statutory work. To find out more about who can access independent advocacy please visit our FAQs.
SIAA do not directly deliver independent advocacy. SIAA works towards widening access to independent advocacy in Scotland and provides support to our member organisations. For more on SIAA’s work please visit Our work.
