SIAA’s response to the Scottish Government’s consultation on updates to the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 Code of Practice. The consultation focussed on the use of restraint and seclusion in hospital. SIAA’s response, submitted in September 2026, draws on the experience of our member organisations working in hospitals, forensic settings and communities across Scotland.
