SIAA Peer Support Forums: creating significant spaces for independent advocacy colleagues

SIAA have been holding peer support sessions for members for almost 3 years. These sessions are informal opportunities for members to meet colleagues from across the sector, share ideas and provide mutual support.

Last April, SIAA launched the new Peer Support Forums where membership can focus on a specific type of independent advocacy or theme, as the common thread.

This new space aims to encourage our members’ autonomy to decide the content of the meetings and have overall ownership of the sessions. Our members reception to these new sessions has been welcoming and we look forward to continuing facilitating them. If you’d like to share your feedback please complete this form.

We would like to thank the organisations that have been leading the different forums and invite our members to join the upcoming sessions. You can sign up for SIAA Peer Support Forums in the member events section of the SIAA website.

Furthermore, if you have identified a topic that SIAA should consider for the sessions or if there is anything else that we can do to improve these forums please email us enquiry@siaa.org.uk
