SIAA is delighted to invite our members to the ‘SIAA open session – Peer support: Independent Advocacy in prisons’ that will take place on Tuesday 7 March.
Forth Valley Advocacy are interested in peer support sessions for Advocacy Workers who provide advocacy support within prisons and asked SIAA to consider adding this to the peer support sessions. If you are providing prison advocacy, please join us at the first session that will take place on Tuesday 7 March from 2 to 3 pm.
Advocacy workers will have the opportunity to potentially discuss things like the range of advocacy issues, security measures and additional training for advocacy workers. It could also offer advocacy workers the chance to share in their experience and be a positive support system for advocacy workers involved in Prison Advocacy, as this role might be isolating for some workers.
