A Scottish Government consultation is currently live which is seeking views on proposals for Legal Services Regulation Reform in Scotland: https://consult.gov.scot/justice/legal-services-regulation-reform-in-scotland/.

The proposals consider what changes may be required to the statutory framework for the regulation of legal services to protect consumer interests and promote a flourishing legal sector. The Scottish Government is seeking participants to take part in virtual focus groups (via video and phone) to share their views and discuss proposals for Legal Services Regulation Reform.

The focus groups are planned to run over the period of the consultation which closes on 24 December 2021. The views shared will feed into a consultation analysis, which will be published following the end of the consultation.
