The COVID-19 pandemic has represented many challenges for independent advocacy.  As much as possible, our members carried on delivering independent advocacy to those who needed their voices heard the most throughout these difficult circumstances.

SIAA would love to hear from your experiences during COVID-19 and how your services continued to make a difference in people’s lives. We’re interested in hearing about your challenges, creative solutions, and lessons learned.

These case studies may be used in our policy work to widen the access to independent advocacy in Scotland or raise human rights issues nationally. We may also share case studies with other SIAA members or stakeholders to illustrate how SIAA’s Principles, Standards and Code of Best Practice are used by independent advocacy organisations to ensure the high-quality and consistency of their services across Scotland.
