CAPS LGBTQI+ Collective Advocacy group: launch of the LGBT+ Mental Health Audit tool

CAPS LGBTQI+ Collective Advocacy group invites you to celebrate the launch of the LGBT+ Mental Health Audit tool that they have been working on, in partnership with LGBT Health and Wellbeing, over the past year.

This tool was originally created as part of LGBT Health and Wellbeing’s Mental Health Demonstration project (2010-14) which was funded by the Scottish Government and NHS Lothian in response to compelling evidence around the mental health inequalities experienced by the LGBTQI+ community in Scotland. Since its development almost 10 years ago many important developments have been made in the fight for LGBTQI+ equality- however, inequalities still exist. That is why the LGBTQI+ Collective Advocacy group at CAPS Independent Advocacy have used their own diverse lived experience to refresh the tool and create 2x accompanying resources (on intersectionality and how to spot and address discrimination) to help service providers and practitioners make their work more inclusive to the LGBTQI+ community.

You can join them on the 12th of July from 1:30pm until 3:30pm on Zoom, for the launch of the tool and to find out more about its development and how to use it.

To register, email Development Worker Mohasin Ahmed at mohasin@capsadvocacy.org with your name, organisation and why you would like to attend. Please note spaces are limited and will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.
