Lomond and Argyll Advocacy Service provide individual issue-based independent advocacy to adults aged 16+, in the following circumstances:
- mental ill health
- learning disabilities
- alcohol or substance use
They provide non-instructed independent advocacy to adults.
They prioritise supporting individuals with a right to access independent advocacy as per Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, adults subject to measures under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, adults subject to the guardianship process under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, especially those detained under MHA or discharged from hospitals under 13ZA.
They have offices in Dumbarton, Lochgilphead, Dunoon and Campbeltown.
