Equal Say Advocacy provide individual issue-based independent advocacy for adults aged 16+, including older adults (65+). This includes adults with problematic substance use.
They provide non-instructed independent advocacy to adults.
They provide collective independent advocacy to patients in a low-secure forensic unit of Beckford Lodge in Hamilton.
They prioritise supporting individuals with a right to access independent advocacy as per Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
