28 January 2025 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

This Zoom session is a chance to connect, share knowledge, and exchange experiences with colleagues facing similar challenges. It’s intended for all citizen advocates, development managers, and any other staff member involved in planning or delivering citizen advocacy.

This is a recurring meeting that will take place every 3 months.

Examples of topics we discussed so far:

  • role of social media
  • best practice for events organising
  • recruitment and retention of volunteers
  • managing expectations and boundaries
  • increase in complexity of referrals
  • Citizen Advocacy as a last resort in crisis
  • dealing with partnership breakdown

The discussion is always grounded in a recent piece of work that one of the participants brings to the session, or their suggestion for a topic for discussion.

Any resources shared by participants will be sent in a follow-up email.

Ground rules co-created by the Group will be in place during each meeting. They are available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19V8ugZFQFvz6pUhZGuNwY9YJxMqYARWfvOHsBeYa5sI/edit?usp=sharing
