November 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Are you finding it difficult to connect with the communities you aim to support? Do your messages or activities sometimes fail to reach the people who need them most?

Join other SIAA members for an interactive, workshop-style session designed to explore the challenges of community engagement within the independent advocacy sector. This Teams session will focus on identifying the barriers that prevent effective communication and connection with target communities.

This is a space for collective learning, where participants can share real-world challenges and learn from one another. The session will be especially valuable for collective advocacy workers, development workers, and anyone working to improve engagement with underserved or hard-to-reach groups.

Together, we will:

  • Map out the communities we’re trying to reach
  • Discuss the obstacles they face in accessing our messages and services
  • Reflect on current outreach activities and their effectiveness

Insights from this workshop will directly inform a follow-up session focused on developing practical solutions to the community engagement issues raised.
