Data collection support (drop-in)
- This event has passed.
February 17 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
This February, we’ll ask you to share a set of data so we can capture a sector snapshot and tell a stronger story about the impact of independent advocacy across Scotland. We’ll share findings with members first, and later publish the insights into a public report.
To support our members with the various data collection activities, we are holding a weekly drop-in session in February. You can ask questions, get help, or co‑work alongside others. Join for as long as you like, any week. No registration required.
To join, simply follow this link.
We’re also meeting on:
Tuesday 3 February, 3:30PM – 5PM
Monday 9 February, 3:30PM – 5PM
Tuesday 24 February, 3:30PM – 5PM
Data collection includes:
- Weekly referrals, open cases & workforce (Excel). Short weekly entries for 5 weeks, per local authority, for every organisation (even if not referral based).
- Survey 1: Financial situation, relationships with HSCPs/IJBs, and activities in the last 12 months. One per organisation. Should take 15–20 mins; up to 30 mins if adding optional detail.
- Case study: A short, real example illustrating one of two outcomes from SIAA’s Outcomes Framework. You can re‑use or adapt a case study you’ve used before. One per organisation.
- Survey 2: Collective advocacy supplement. Three questions for collective advocacy groups, ideally asked (and answered) during a group meeting. For active groups only.
- Survey 3: membership records & provision (optional). Update your directory info (same questions as last year). If you’d like to check what we currently hold, reply and I’ll share it.
You might want to update if any contact/personnel changes took place, new projects started or your remit changed.
