The SIAA's elder abuse work is funded by Comic Relief. Comic Relief is also providing funding to Age Concern Scotland to raise awareness of elder abuse and to Citizens Advice Direct to develop elder abuse work with telephone helplines and the C.A.B. network in Scotland.

The SIAA has employed an Elder Abuse Development Officer to provide training to independent Advocacy organisations on elder abuse, develop good practcie guidelines and a web resource.
