AIMS celebrate achievements as they move to new office

AIMS Advocacy has delivered independent advocacy across North Ayrshire for many years.  Over the years it has grown and developed, reaching out ever more widely to the population of North Ayrshire and Arran and yesterday the organisation hosted a party to mark the official opening of their new office premises in Stevenston.
AIMS Party

Morag McClurg, the Service Manager, welcomed everyone to the opening and gave a brief history of AIMS since its inception in 1997.  Shaben Begum MBE, Director of the SIAA, also spoke briefly to the guests before she and Michael Gargan, who has used the advocacy service in the past, cut the ribbon officially opening the new office.

Guests, who included Willie Gibson a local Councillor and former local MSP Kenneth Gibson, were entertained by the Complaints Choir and with tea and cake (also cut by Shaben and Michael).

AIMS new address is The Advocacy Centre, 70 New Street, Stevenston, KA20 3HG.
