Regional Networks

ARX is currently working with the CA Coalition to promote and develop Regional Networks Events. The Regional Network Events will be open to all independent advocacy schemes and will provide an opportunity for networking, sharing of good practice, joint training and facilitation of partnership work locally and regionally.

Developing funding strategies with both statutory and voluntary sector bodies will be a key theme for the events.

Supported Voices - supporting BME advocacy across London

Supported Voices is a project that develops a collaborative approach to supporting the development of BME advocacy in London. This is done through the facilitation of action learning sets, regional training events, mentoring, and a bi-monthly BME Advocacy Bulletin.

The project brings together BME community groups and advocacy schemes to develop and share learning.

Supported Voices will be hosting several events in the next year to develop and promote BME advocacy.

The first event "How do we address social exclusion through community led BME Advocacy" is to be held on January 29th 2009 in London.
