Advocacy is for the People – Research into the impact of advocacy on the lives of Older People

10 December 2014

Research conducted by an intern, Andreea Bocioaga, on the impact of independent advocacy on the lives of older people is now available on our website.  Some of the key findings in the report show that older people who accessed advocacy felt they had regained control over their lives and circumstances, that their confidence increased and as a result they experienced an improved sense of well-being, relief from stress and pressure and a feeling of being valued and listened to.

You can access the full report via this link; ‘Advocacy is for the People’ and you can also read an article by the author on the process of researching the topic in the winter edition of the About Advocacy Magazine.
